Wonder Wraps Continues to Give Back, Gifts Diapers to Refugee Children

Wonder Wraps has always believed in the power of giving back to the community on a practical basis, and has been applauded widely for its charitable endeavors.

On 3 March, Wonder Wraps partnered up with The Hong Kong Society for Asylum-Seekers and Refugees to conduct a visit to local refugees and provide children with toys and diapers, as well as assist in fixing leaks and other household matters. The aim was to provide some level of warmth to those who have suffered so much.

According to statistics, there are over 11,000 refugees registered in Hong Kong, with the majority of them coming from South and Southeast Asia. With no prospects of legal employment locally, many rely on nominal subsidies and scrape by in difficult living conditions. Doing what we can, Wonder Wraps understands even refugee children need sanitary necessities such as disposable diapers. Mr. Wong, director of Marvel Group Holdings Limited (“MGHL”), parent company of Wonder Wraps Diapers, relates to these children (as he has two infant children himself) and focused on providing a level of warmth and comfort by donating diapers to these refugees.

To refugees, the most difficult part of their lives lies not in the challenging living conditions, but the hopelessness in waiting to obtain immunity status from the local government. Such processes usually take 8-10 years and refugees are not granted employment rights during this time. Mr. Wong hopes to do his part, however small, in providing help and encouragement to these refugees in “limbo”, so as to help them maintain confidence and respect in themselves.

Mr. Wong also discloses that Marvel Group Holdings Limited was not established with the sole purpose of maximizing profit.
