Wonder Wraps Partners the Hong Kong Society for Asylum-Seekers and Refugees in Community Support
Wonder Wraps has actively participated in various community welfare programs since its inception, doing what it can as a socially responsible corporation to spread the spirit of community service, and has been widely praised for its efforts. A specific example of Wonder Wraps’ charitable intentions came on January 16 2018, when Wonder Wraps partnered the Hong Kong Society for Asylum-Seekers and Refugees for the second time in its visit to refugees in Hong Kong. Outside of merely visiting, Wonder Wraps staff assisted in lightening the heavy load of the refugees with free children’s diapers.
Since its establishment, Wonder Wraps has always operated under the mandate of becoming a mother’s best assistant, and everything we do is based on the well-being of the child as a priority, ensuring their healthy and happy growth. In cases of refugees, it is difficult for a parent to provide sufficient resources to raise a child under ideal conditions. Hong Kong accepts approximately 6,000 refugees annually from Vietnam, Philippines, and other Southeast Asian countries, and none of them are able to obtain employment under their refugee status, resulting in severely lacking resources to obtain even the most basic of daily needs, including sanitary goods. Other than visiting and understanding their plight, Wonder Wraps directly provides refugee families with sanitary supplier, hopefully giving young families some reprieve from their daily struggles.
The first family we encountered is led by the matriarch Mar-Ghislaine, who has been waiting for her family’s refugee status to be removed for three years, has always felt helpless as his son Pedro, under relentless heat and humidity, developed Millaria. Mar-Ghislaine expressed gratefulness for our help, since our products provide premium quality that is soft to the touch while keeping Pedro’s skin dry, alleviating the pain of rashes and itchiness.
Other than our partnership with the Hong Kong Society for Asylum-Seekers and Refugees, Wonder Wraps constantly sponsor and support various other charitable institutions and endeavors. Company Director Kirk Wong states: a child is every family’s future hopes and dreams, and we are all about doing what we can to allow a child to grow healthily. We have always operated under the principle that a corporation’s ultimate goal isn’t just to profit, and focusing only on the well being of the company is not a sustainable strategy. We hope, through our support of charitable institutions, that we can build a culture of care and compassion and shoulder our share of corporate responsibilities in bringing a state of wellbeing to as many families as we can. Ultimately, we wish to influence other corporations through our own actions that the relationship between community and the corporate world should be a symbiotic one.
Operating under the motto “You Love, We Care”, Wonder Wraps has produced products with intense care and attention since its inception. Wonder Wraps’ insistence on using state-of-the-art technology in our entire production process to produce quality products is further tested using strict safety standards. This mandate falls in line with Wonder Wraps’ core value of accountability: ensuring we are accountable to stakeholders, our partners, and most importantly, to as many parents and children as possible.
