Bethreis Face Mask Passes Consumer Council Test with Flying Colors
As temperatures continue to drop, preparations in defense of new COVID-19 cases cannot be missed. A testament to this quality comes from the Hong Kong Consumer Council’s independent test done between July and August 2020, whereby it purchased 30 brands of disposable masks from the market and conducted laboratory tests, which include bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE), particulate filtration efficiency (BFE), fluid resistance, breathability, among other categories. A more detailed report of the Consumer Council’s findings are as follows:
Filtration (BFE, PFE) Efficiency: BFE and BFE levels indicate the disposable masks ability to filter bacteria or particulates. Results indicate that the Bethreis Disposable Face Masks have 99% BFE and PFE, equating to ASTMF2100-19 level 3 protection, the highest level of standard available.
Pressure Differential Test: The pressure differential test gives an indication of a mask’s breathability and breathing comfort, as the higher the pressure differential, the more difficult it is for the wearer to breath. The Consumer Council independent test shows that the Bethreis Disposable Face Masks have a pressure differential of 4.6-5.2mm H2O/cm2, once again meeting ASTMF2100-19 level 3 standards.
Synthetic Plasma Penetration: This particular test simulates blood or fluid splash, and whether the face mask can prevent any fluid penetration. The Bethreis Disposable Face Mask tested showed no signs of any penetration, and can effectively block all fluids from entering the mask.
Bacterial Content: This measures bacterial content of the face mask in its original, unused state. Bethreis Disposable Face Masks were of course of low level.
Ear loop Pull Test: This test determines how easily the ear loops will break from the mask, and the result, as expected, shows that Bethreis Disposable Face Masks pass all standards.
The Consumer Council’s independent tests show that MGHL’s Bethreis Disposable Face Masks are, as expected from MGHL products, of extremely high quality.
